Professional History
For many years she ran her own ‘mini’ spa and retail boutique, called ‘One-Stop Body Shop” in Pacific Beach, California. Not only did she offer her massage and hydrotherapy treatments, but she also had a unique aromatherapy ‘bar’ where she would custom blend products for her clients, using clays, salts, herbs, and aromatherapy essential oils. This became a very popular way for her to create individual home remedies for her clients. This is the way the name of her business, aRomyTherapy, was born.
Romy taught at The School of Healing Arts in Pacific Beach for eight years. First, it was classes in Hydrotherapy and Spa, and then she offered additional classes in Hot Stone Therapy and “Spa Kitchen”, a class that teaches how to make body products with ingredients straight from your kitchen.
After Romy sold her business to raise her children, She worked independently with start-up spa owners to train their staff and developed personalized treatment menus for them. During that time, she returned to IPSB to further her studies. She gained an associate degree in Holistic Health.
Romy has worked at Herbin Acupuncture and Wellness, & offered her unique massage treatments at Soulstice Integral Wellness Center. Now she enjoys an integrated space at South Park Yoga and Wellness Center located in the beautiful neighborhood of South Park, San Diego. She continues to teach all her classes privately.
Romy’s new line of Chakra Soul Spritz and Roll, and Salt Bath are wonderful healing rituals. Her On-the-Go Healing Kit is a must to travel with. And her Skin Candy Cocoa Butter and Heart Melts continue to be a favorite moisturizing salve and bath enhancer for everyone.
“Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are.”

Romy Frank’s Personal Philosophy on Healing
“I have always lived my life trying to find balance. I recognize that when I’m in balance; mind, body, and spirit, I’m healthy. When I’m healthy, I embody the essence of who I really am, my true nature.
I love to nurture and give from my heart. Sharing with others feeds my soul, and keeps me in touch with my values. To me love is important. Loving others, as well as loving myself. When I have a full heart, I feel healthy.
Rituals are important to me. I love soaking in a bath. It keeps me healthy, nourishes who I am, and helps me to get in touch with my essential nature. It, therefore, gives me permission to disappear from the world, ‘to be’ rather than ‘do’, and ‘to feel’ rather than ‘act’.
I am taken by and have always been drawn to water. My relationship with water has always had great memories. I love the instinctual pull it has on me. It always speaks to me with its magical tongue. The sound of the trickle, the gurgles, and the whispers, always change my mood. It’s the one place I get to hear myself breathe. Through breathing, I settle in and let go of all the mental chatter. It gives my mind a chance to rest. I nourish myself in this way, and so it enables me to give to and nurture others. Then I am happy.”
